Raymond Weil is a quality brand and you can be sure that you have an authentic Swiss-made timepiece of utmost quality. In fact, Geneva-based Raymond Weil is one of the few Swiss watch-making companies still in family hands.

The Cosi Grande is beautifully crafted with a shiny stainless steel rectangular case, a fixed stainless steel bezel and a black dial surface, with two clock dials, both with luminous hands. The watch also bears a fine, patterned black leather strap and skeleton case back which can be entertaining to look at if you happen to have nothing to do while waiting in the airport to catch your next flight.

This watch has a very masculine and professional look and can be considered equally a classic and a sporty watch. It has all the high-end specs to be desired with a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal dial window and 30 meters or 100 feet of water resistance. The Don Giovanni Cosi Grande is also an automatic movement watch meaning that it is powered by your movement and does not need to be manually wound.

What makes the Don Giovanni Cosi Grande stand out from the crowd is the level of detail on the dial. The black dial face is accented by small silver colored studs which give this watch its sporty look reminiscent of the stylish interior of an Italian sports car. It is also nice that the dual time dials are not identical to one another with the lower dial having the standard 12 hour markers and the upper dial using the 24-hour time system. My only complaint here is that on either side of the upper dial are AM and PM in big letters. I would think that someone as well travelled as to require a dual time watch would be able to figure out what is AM and PM on a 24-hour clock without assistance. However, it does not take away too much from the overall look of the watch so this is minor.

With the Don Giovanni Cosi Grande you will never again have to spend time calculating time zone changes when you are tired and jet-lagged. One glance at this gorgeous piece of Swiss finery is just the trick to make your journey smoother and more attractive all at once.

Pros:

  • Dual time, can view both time zones simultaneously without having to press a sequence of buttons such as on a digital clock.
  • Attractive and sporty.
  • Outshines many luxury watches in the looks department yet is not too pricey at 2,900 US.

Cons:

  • AM and PM indicators on the dial are unnecessary.
